Grant's vice president, Henry Wilson. Henry Wilson was born right here in Farmington, NH on February 16, 1812, but was given the name Jeremiah Jones Colbath. He laterchanged it to Henry Wilson in 1834. In 2002 a huge renovation project was completed to help improve the current facility, which now houses students in grades 4 - 8 from the towns of Farmington and Middleton. Currently we have approximately 575 students, 33 teachers, 16 paraprofessionals, 2 counselors, and 2 administrators. The mission of education is the shared responsibility of the family, students, staff and community. Together, our commitment is to provide a learning climate which encourages students to become active, participating learners which enables all students to experience academic successs and which accommodates the various needs and abilities of our students. The unified arts includes music, art, physical education, wood tech. and computer. Students also have the opporunity to participate in chorus, band and drama, as well as many other clubs, athletic teams and organization. Recognizing the wide-ranging changes students encounter during these adolescent years, every effort is made to have programs in place to address educational, social and emotional needs. Henry Wilson Memorial School is a nurturing environment where students can grow physically, emotionally and academically. |
